Biography

Emilio Rodriguez, Jr. is an Associate Attorney at Polizzotto & Polizzotto, LLC. His practice focuses on a broad range of civil matters, including real estate transactions and litigation, estate planning and administration, wills and trusts, family and matrimonial law, landlord-tenant disputes, business and contract matters, guardianships, and personal injury litigation. Drawing upon more than two decades of legal experience, Emilio provides practical, client-centered counsel while advocating effectively both in and out of the courtroom.

Prior to joining Polizzotto & Polizzotto, Emilio operated his own law practice for nearly fourteen years, representing individuals and businesses in a wide variety of civil matters. He also served as an associate attorney with several New York law firms, where he developed extensive experience in litigation, motion practice, appeals, depositions, trials, and complex legal research. Throughout his career, Emilio has maintained a strong commitment to helping clients navigate challenging legal issues with professionalism, clarity, and compassion.

In addition to his legal practice, Emilio is an accomplished educator. He served as an Assistant Adjunct Professor at LIM College and Hostos Community College of the City University of New York, where he taught Business Law and Introduction to Business. His ability to translate complex legal concepts into understandable and practical guidance has benefited both students and clients alike. Emilio earned his Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from St. John’s University, where he also completed a minor in Business. He is admitted to practice in New York State, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.A fluent Spanish speaker, Emilio is committed to serving diverse communities throughout New York. He is an active member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Puerto Rican Bar Association, and New York County Lawyers’ Association.

His dedication to mentorship and community service includes long- standing involvement with the St. John’s University Alumni Association mentoring program and service as a Team Attorney Advisor and Mentor for the New York State High School Mock Trial Tournament.
